Lowest Cost DH+ interface available on the market :D

Smart SoftPLC and Smart Gateway now support up to (2) channels of DH+. If you aren’t ready to replace your network cabling, but want to upgrade HMI’s or A-B PLC’s, this is a great solution.

As a Gateway - Leave your A-B PLC “untouched", while upgrading other devices on the DH+ such as an HMI. The Smart Gateway can communicate to your HMI over Ethernet or serial, while the other DH+ nodes still think it is on DH+.

As a SoftPLC - Upgrade your A-B PLC CPU with a modern controller that can co-exist on your DH+ now, but is ready to migrate to Ethernet whenever you are!

SoftPLC’s networking now can support DHCP as an alternative to BOOTP and static IP addresses.

To use a DHCP client on any SoftPLC ethernet interface, just have the line in NETWORK.LST say:

    ETH DHCP

That’s it. The DHCP server should establish the GATEWAY and the DNS settings, the
values in NETWORK.LST will be ignored if DHCP is set for an interface.

This support is for SoftPLC versions 4.6 and later. Customers in support can get the update through the package management system. Contact technical support (support@softplc.com) for more information.
