Smart SoftPLC and Smart Gateway now support up to (2) channels of DH+. If you aren’t ready to replace your network cabling, but want to upgrade HMI’s or A-B PLC’s, this is a great solution.

To use a DHCP client on any SoftPLC ethernet interface, just have the line in NETWORK.LST say:

ETH DHCP

That’s it. The DHCP server should establish the GATEWAY and the DNS settings, the
values in NETWORK.LST will be ignored if DHCP is set for an interface.

This support is for SoftPLC versions 4.6 and later. Customers in support can get the update through the package management system. Contact technical support (support@softplc.com) for more information.
