SoftLC now supports DHCP address assignments

Last update on Sept. 5, 2015.

SoftPLC’s networking now can support DHCP as an alternative to BOOTP and static IP addresses.

To use a DHCP client on any SoftPLC ethernet interface, just have the line in NETWORK.LST say:

ETH DHCP

That’s it!  The DHCP server should establish the GATEWAY and the DNS settings, the values in NETWORK.LST will be ignored if DHCP is set for an interface.

This support is for SoftPLC versions 4.6 and later.  Contact technical support (support@softplc.com) for more information.
